An event to tell the story of the film Amare Gio Ponti and to reflect on Ponti as a man and architect.
The exhibition dedicated to Gio Ponti opens with an opening talk with director Francesca Molteni, curator Salvatore Licitra and MAXXI Architettura Director Margherita Guccione.
An event to recount the film Amare Gio Ponti (on show at the Videogallery until 16 February) and to reflect, by retracing the research work carried out during the making of the film, on the figure of Ponti as a man, architect, aspiring painter and ante-litteram promoter of Italian design who, in over fifty years of activity, has experimented with everything – arts, crafts, objects, architecture and materials – with unwavering energy, from small-scale to large-scale projects, from the design of a handle to the creation of an urban plan.
Introduced by Margherita Guccione MAXXI Architettura Director
Speakers Salvatore Licitra co-curator of the exhibition Gio Ponti. Loving architecture Francesca Molteni director
The film is on show at the MAXXI Videogallery until 16 February, during the Museum’s opening hours.
