The exhibition moves between visionary fantasy drawings and the tangible possibility of applying these visions to the city of Rome.

A concise retrospective on the architect’s professional career and parallel artistic journey presents the two main collections of materials preserved at MAXXI. Through dreamlike and surreal imagery, the exhibition explores his visionary projects, including large-scale macrostructures designed for urban landscapes.

In particular, the exhibition focuses on the architect’s work for Rome in the 1990s, including his proposals for the 2000 Jubilee and his research on railway areas, which anticipated connections and infrastructural developments that remain relevant today and, in many ways, still hold future potential.
