The exhibition presents the progress of Calcestruzzo, a project by Nicola Di Giorgio, winner of the eighth edition of the Prize in 2022.

Launched in 2020, Calcestruzzo (concrete) is a long-term project that explores the widespread presence of this material in the contemporary Italian landscape through various media, ranging from photography to installation.
The series’ evolution is conceived as a branching of micro and macro themes, integrating the material’s historical and scientific significance, a personal relationship with it, the interplay between natural and artificial elements in shaping the city, and a reflection on the ‘mark’ of design. This is carried out through extensive research in both private and public archives.

The Graziadei Prize for Photography was established in 2012 as an initiative of Graziadei Studio Legale, to promote and support the work of young Italian artists over time.
