A workshop on the design of the bag object: a “containing” volume obtained on the basis of the analysis of flat geometric elements. Used from the Prehistoric age as an exclusively functional male instrument for the carrying of primary goods, the bag has over the centuries been subjected to an evolution that is also bound up with the role of women in society, taking on meanings and values that go far beyond those of a mere container, through to becoming a true status symbol for those carrying it.
In the workshop The architecture in a bag each participant, will create, on the basis of a geometric module and simple, linear forms and thanks to the guidance of the designer Irma Cipolletta, a bag understood as a synthesis of functionality, aesthetics and manufacturing technique, a bag that as Gio Ponti once said:“that stands out”.
Reservations are required and may be made by calling 3386419518 from Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm or by writing to firstname.lastname@example.org by 1:00 pm on the previous Friday.
