This year again sees a collaboration between the Rome Film Festival and MAXXI.
From 13 to 23 October 2016 the Rome Film Festis returning and will take you to MAXXI: the holders of a ticket or accreditation for the 11th edition are offered the opportunity to visit the museum at the reduced price of €10*.
Like every year, the Festival takes in a number of venues around capital: from the Villaggio del Cinema to the city centre screens through to MAXXI, hosting a broad and stimulating programme of screenings, seminars, tributes, events and conferences.
The pulsing heart of the event will as usual be the Auditorium Parco della Musica, where around 40 films from 26 countries will be screened and above all where the eagerly awaited guests will be present.
Among the screenings hosted at MAXXI are a number of films in the Official Selection such as Richard Linklater: Dream is destiny and The Last Laugh; the Tributes and Retrospectives sections with screenings dedicated to Lugi Comeninci and Dino Risi, and the films Lincoln by Steven Spielberg and Nixon by Oliver Stone. Special attention will also be paid to documentaries with the Reflections section and last but not least Close encounters that features an appointment at MAXXI with the irreverent contemporary art duo Gilbert & George.
