The 10th Rome Film Fest comes back as a great party. For ten days, the building designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano will be its centre but not only. The Fest will involve the rest of the Capital city and the MAXXI museum as well.
El Club
directed by Pablo Larraín
starring Roberto Farías, Antonia Zegers, Alfredo Castro, Alejandro Goic, Alejandro Sieveking, Jaime Vadell, Marcelo Alonso
(Chile, 2015, 118′)
A group of priests lives in a retreat with Monica, a nun, in a house on the coast of Chile. When they are not praying or atoning for their sins, they are training their greyhound for the next race. What has led them here, to what is practically the end of the world? The arrival of a new priest and his suicide soon thereafter disrupts the group’s peaceful routine. The Church sends an investigator to look into the matter. The interrogations reveal a disturbing reality.
