From the Collection to Maria Lai. Tenendo per mano il sole (Holding the sun by the hand).
A brief introduction to the exhibition containing the works of the MAXXI collection will precede a tour of the exhibition revolving around Maria Lai, the peculiar Italian contemporary artist. The exhibition includes about 200 artworks, from the pieces dating back to the early 1960s to the last research works: bound books, public interventions and the renowned looms, which recount a complex, albeit fascinating personal history and an approach to creativity devoid of prejudice.
We advise you to make reservations by 1.00 PM on the previous Friday, by writing to edumaxxi@fondazionemaxxi.it or directly at the museum infopoint up to half an hour before the start of the tour, until full capacity (max. 25 participants).
