Fondazione Cinema per Roma and MAXXI are collaborating again in the organization of “Cinema at MAXXI”, a series of film-related events curated by Mario Sesti.
Right before the 8th Rome Film Festival (November 8-17, 2013), on Saturdays and Wednesdays, from September 14th through November 6th, MAXXI will host an unusual and innovative mix of cinematic entertainment in museum venues, presenting retrospectives, meetings with actors and directors, lectures, previews of documentaries and films, held for the first time in a prestigious Italian contemporary art museum.
“Cinema at MAXXI” will be composed of three series: “The Forgotten – Great Italian Directors and Films to rediscover”, “Meet Exceptional Men and Women”, and “MAXXI/Previews”.
The complete “Cinema at MAXXI” programme will be announced at a press conference in September.
