Daniel Mendelsohn is a classical scholar, critic, translator and professor of literature at Bard College. He is a regular contributor to The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books and The New York Times.
He is the author of, among other works, The Lost: The Search for Six of Six Million (Einaudi 2018), winner of the 2006 National Book Critics Circle Award, the 2007 Prix Médicis, and numerous other awards; An Odyssey: A Father, A Son, and an Epic (Einaudi 2018 and 2019), a finalist for the 2017 Baillie Gifford Prize; and Three Rings: A Tale of Exile, Narrative and Fate (Einaudi 2021).
