For the third seminar in the series Conversazioni d’autore, the architect Paolo Desideri, founder of the ABDR Architetti Associati studio, will be talking to Livio Sacchi. The studio’s design activities are principally concerned with the major infrastructure projects in the public and private sectors, public museum and cultural buildings and major real estate developments and it has progressively specialised in integrated design and control over the relationships between architecture and engineering. The firm’s most recent and most important project include: the new B1 metro stations in Rome, the former Piacentini greenhouse at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, the extension of the National Archaeological Museum in Reggio Calabria, the Giustiniano Imperatore residential complex in Rome, the Florence Auditorium (2008/2012) and the new Tiburtina Station in Rome (2001/2012).
Conversazioni d’autore. Six seminars with the protagonists of the MAXXI Collections
13 April – 9 June 2016
The cycle Conversazioni d’autore has been created with the intention of investigating the compositional themes in the projects and works exhibited in the museum gallery devoted to the display of the MAXXI collections through dialogues with their creators. On the basis of the works on show, the artists and the architects will guide the public on an exploration of the multiple meanings within the processes of making art and architecture, presenting their ideas through a fruitful and stimulating dialogue with academics and critics.
