The performance derives from a project of the same name created by Olaf Nicolai for documenta 14 in Athens.
Through a selection from the radio archives, used as a source of sounds associated with protests, strikes and speeches, the work investigates the relationship that is established between sound and its archiving, between meaning and its historical contextualisation.
In order to generate new contents and associations, the artist will be working with the violinist Biliana Voutchkova.
At the end of the performance, Olaf Nicolai will meet the public to discuss his work in the latest edition of the Auteur Conversations series.
