How do you create an exhibition, a magazine, or a book on design?
Is there a method for being creative?
What characterises a great talent?
Four events devoted to one of the most studied and ramified contemporary disciplines. Enter the designers, critics and entrepreneurs who have marked the history of design project in the last fifty years, both in Italy and the world.
The third event will see the audience meet Studio Formafantasma, which is renowned for its exceptional predisposition to research, as shown not only by its projects, but also by the way in which it focuses on training. By describing their research on products, processes, and teaching, Simone Farresin and Andrea Trimarchi will clarify what carrying out research means in the context of a broad, multifaceted project.
Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin (Studio Formafantasma) started cooperating during a three-year course in Design at the Isia of Florence, but their passion for Product Design took shape and strengthened during the master course they attended at the Design Academy of Eindhoven. After graduating, they went to live in Holland, where they opened Studio Formafantasma. Their work enables them to deepen the role of design in popular crafts, the links between tradition and local culture, the critical approach towards sustainability, and the role of objects as cultural drivers, thereby bridging the gap among craftsmanship, industry, objects, and users.
