More than 200 open sites with free guided tours!
Open House Roma is an annual event that enables hundreds of Roman buildings renowned for their architectural features to open their doors for free during a single weekend.
This year too will see MAXXI take part in the initiative. Open House Roma will organise two guided tours of one hour each on Saturday 12th May at 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Said tours will be open to a maximum of 25 participants, who will explore the building designed by Zaha Hadid. Reservations can be made on the Open House Roma website.
Special Event
Tiny House: it is called aVOID, and it is the smallest mobile house ever built in Italy. A living space of only 9 square metres on wheels, designed by architect Leonardo Di Chiara and equipped with all the comforts required for the daily lives of the new generations of urban nomads. The tiny house will be hosted in the museum square (Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th May 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.).
Project supported by the Goethe Institut Rom
Moreover, holders of the OHR 365 card will benefit from a reduced price of admission to the MAXXI from Tuesday to Friday for the whole period of validity of the card and a 10% discount on the myMAXXI Individual card, which can be purchased at the museum’s ticket office.
