Identity, place, tribute and memory
The uniqueness of Rome revisited in a contemporary key
The Alcantara-MAXXI project is now in its fourth edition.
On this occasion, seven designers, profoundly rooted in Italy, have been invited to present a small collection inspired by Rome and the richness of its cultural, historical and popular heritage.
Filtering their experience of the eternal city through symbols, thoughts and images chosen from a traditional repertory, objects are created that speak different idioms thanks to Alcantara’s extraordinary capacity for interpretation.
