22nd Italian Contemporary Art Day
The exhibition tells the story of how, over six decades, the WWF has helped change how our country thinks about nature, transforming ecology from a concern for the few into a collective heritage.
From the origins of the WWF and the pioneering vision of its founder, Fulco Pratesi, to the creation of the first nature reserves, from major campaigns to safeguard species and habitats to the partnerships forged with civil society and the business world, the exhibition traces a veritable cultural revolution that has helped to redefine the relationship between people and the environment.
A revolution that continues to this day: thanks to the work of WWF Italy, over 100 nature reserves have been created in Italy, and more than 30,000 hectares of land have been protected, contributing to biodiversity conservation and the protection of endangered habitats and species.
