In an Italian preview at MAXXI the programme Living Architectures Marathon presents the complete series of films Living Architectures by Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine. Film screening. Introduced by Massimiliano Tonelli
Set in the refectory at Chateau Petrus in Pomerol, near Bordeaux, this films leads us into the party atmosphere of the collective meals shared by the seasonal workers during the Merlot grape harvest period.
The documentary offers a new view of the building designed by the Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, following the daily lives of the grape-pickers during the most intensive period of the work.
