This is seminar is born out of the renewed interest in the art of the 1970s and the recent creation of the site www.notiziarioartecontemporanea.it that offers a complete digital presentation of the magazine NAC – Notiziario di Arte Contemporanea, founded in 1968 by Francesco Vincitorio, hand produced for the first two years and then published from October 1970 through to 1974 by Dedalo.
The periodical NAC recorded the artistic ferment and culture, above all in Milan but also further afield: it recounted the city of Lucio Fontana, to which it devoted an entire issue, and of Fausto Melotti, a Milan of international breadth, open to the most innovative research as well as opportunities for meetings and exchanges of ideas and creative proposals that were to transform the cultural and institutional life in those crucial years.
The freely consultable site presents an intensely stimulating wealth of information with hundreds of indexed names of critics and artists and familiar and less well-known images.
