Edulab 1
A workshop on the cyanotype technique with the artist and photographer Cinzia N. Rojas exploring its origins and experimenting with its expressive potential.
«Blue is the invisible that become visible», was how Yves Klein described the colour that had already been used in ancient Egyptian art. The cyanotype technique is a long-established method of photographic printing that permits images to be obtained characterised by an intense shade of blue, placing a negative or an object between a light source and a sheet of treated paper. A journey through the history, the chemical formula and the diverse phases in the preparation of the supports, through to a practical experience of light printing.
