Daniele Durante_studiobv36

Daniele Durante (1969) is  an architect and Phd in “Design, Arts and New Technologies”.
He has been teaching at the Faculty of Architecture in “Sapienza” of Rome since 2004 and in  2009 he was Visiting Critic at  Cornell University in Rome.
His task is to combine the experimental dimension with a professional procedure that endeavors to create a relationship between architecture, design and art: the precondition for such research is for architecture to express itself as an inclusive discipline capable of gathering operational systems from different creative fields.
He carried out different public and private projects, including: Art Laboratory in Palazzo delle Esposizoni; Conference centre “Montecitorio Eventi”; Multifunctional Centre RGS, RGS Library, Technological Centre Offices DT-RGS in Ministry of Economy; Italian Patent and Trademark Office in Rome; Italian Institute of Technology.
He has won several design competitions, the most important are: New Ipost Headquarters building in Rome(first prize), whose completion is expected by 2014; Attilio Pecile Square with bioclimatic housing (first prize); Urban Planning “Dogana d’Acqua” Livorno (second prize); Urban Planning in Conversano (second prize); Restoration of the “Torre di Porta Nuova” Venice (second prize).
He has collaborated with 1880 Matteograssi spa and RF Yamakawa CO LTD of Tokyo.
He was selected among the 35 best under-40 architecture offices for the “Qualità Italia Giovani” award in 2010.
His projects have been published in numerous books and international magazines.
He writes for  DIID magazine.
