Rep 2056, ideas for the next 40 years. This is the title of the Repubblica festival that celebrates the newspaper’s first 40 years – 1976-2016 – but also presents 10 days of events that while commemorating what is right to commemorate also focus on the issues that lie ahead and try to identify possible paths for the future.
The RepIdee festival starts out from Rome with an open invitation to MAXXI and the Parco della Musica Auditorium. 10 days of seminars, debates, interviews, readings, exhibitions, shows and music. The most pressing issues of the day will be tackled discussed and analysed by Repubblica‘s journalists and columnists and their Italian and international guests. A complex web of events (over 100, with over 200 speakers) with the ambition of sharing with the festival public that “certain gaze on Italy and the world” that ever since its foundation Repubblica has shared with the its community of readers.
