the photographic exploration of the closets of Italy’s most famous radio DJs
Opening: 5 June, from 7.30 PM to 12.00 PM (by invitation) #djnaparty
6-7 June 2015
The photographic survey will sees the voices and the faces of Radio Deejay open their closets to the lens of Milanese photographer Pietro Baroni, the author of the photo project Milan Closets, winner of an Honorable Mention Prize at the International Photo Awards 2012.
This photo survey derives from the creative gaze of one of the DJs, Gianluca Vitiello, who has united his passion for music with that for fashion and urban cultures. The closet and its contents become the symbol of new stories to be recounted through their pop and contemporary interpretation that will act as a magnifying glass. Photographic works are thus created that are articulated by an interminable musical rhythm of private rooms in which the colours of the clothes describe the personality of each protagonist, their style, their distinguishing features and their interests. Inside them we will find elements that are unique, curious, fun, interesting and in their own way exceptional, just like the voices of Radio Deejay.
Proceeds form the sale of the works and the exhibition catalogue will be donated to the association CESVI www.cesvi.org that assists in the design, promotion and realisation of cooperation, emergency and rehabilitation projects in developing countries.
