MAXXI B.A.S.E., Graziella Lonardi Buontempo Hall
curated by Mario Sesti
Every film worthy of the name inscribes itself upon us, making us a little different to what we were before entering the cinema: the critic is he or she who transcribes this residual trace of the film to share it with others.
Would you like to become a film critic in just a few hours? In 4 sessions we will provide you with the tools for understanding how to interpret what we all know so well (the pleasure of films) and how to write a review: film as the movement of body and mind that becomes the written word.
These “lessons”, with screenings of film clips and commentaries, will be a form of training, exercise and growth of an attitude, that of the spectator, that no one has ever needed to learn. The reviews will be read, analysed and critiqued.
