Kitchen stories. Memories, anecdotes and recipes by Caterina Stiffoni

Gallery 2 – admittance free subject to availability of places

From the old family kitchens to wartime recipes, from the Paris of the great chefs to the medinas of Morocco through to the great Indian palaces: 40 stories, over 80 recipes and 10 menus recount Caterina Stiffoni’s passion for cooking. Spacious, scented kitchens, strict grandmothers and mysterious kitchen gardens act as the backdrop to recipes bound to the territory and memory.

The passion for cooking through stories, recipes and menus.
A passion made up of experience, love and curiosity regarding food.

With the book “Storie in cucina. Ricordi, racconti e ricette” (published by Contrasto), the author leads us to discover new flavours, special places, alluring fantasies and precious recipes.
The book is embellished with black and white photographs by Gianni Berengo Gardin that immortalise stoves, spread tables and food.

Participating at the presentation with the author will be Gianni Berengo Gardin, photographer, Marino Niola, anthropologist of the contemporary and Elisabetta Moro, professor of Cultural Anthropology. Pippo Ciorra, Senior Curator MAXXI Architettura, introduces.
