The artist invites people to bury their secrets in a grave that will become a public artwork.
On Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the Non-Catholic Cemetery for Foreigners in Rome, Sophie Calle will inaugurate a tomb intended to hold the secrets of passersby. On that day, between 4 and 7 p.m., those who wish may choose to entrust her with their secret before it is buried. In French or English, if they wish to tell it to her; in any other language, if they would rather she not understand it.
