From Lucio Fontana to Piero Guccione. Sgarbi pursues beauty among extraordinary discoveries and venerated masters.
In the second volume of his work dedicated to the art of the last century, Vittorio Sgarbi indicates many lives excited by communication, alongside extraordinary artists who have been abandoned and forgotten. He does so without following personal ideologies, feelings, emotions and passions, but trying to guarantee each artist the space deserved. He urges us to interpret his Novecento as something that will be for the reader a revelation of secret and interrupted paths and wonderful unknown artists.
Sgarbi pursues the beauty between extraordinary discoveries and venerated masters: among others, Sciltian, Ligabue, Balthus, Giacometti, Fontana and Burri, the provocative installations by De Dominicis, the architecture and design of Ponti, Rossi and Mendini, up to poetry of the absolute of Cremonini, Ferroni, Gnoli and Guccione.
