Alfredo Rapetti Mogol, also known as Cheope, nephew and son of artists, starting from his successful career, tells us how a song comes to life through fascinating paths and inspirations.
Songs are like works of art: once they are finished, they no longer belong only to their author, but become autonomous, to be loved and interpreted by those who meet them on their journey. Writing a song, as well as other forms of art, means uniting inspiration and creation. It means knowing the great masters and then creating a language of one’s own. Patient fine-tuning as well as a study of the structure and rhyme is needed for this work. However, sometimes there are exeptions, when a piece is created spontaneously, in a short time, as if in a sort of state of grace.
Alfredo Rapetti Mogol, also known as Cheope, the name used to sign his paintings, the author of very successful songs written for Laura Pausini, Raf, Mina, Nek, Celentano, Morandi, Ron, Cocciante, and many others, tells us, starting from his successful career, how a song is born through fascinating paths and inspirations.
