Final presentation of the projects developed during the international drawing workshop

On the occasion of the exhibition The Street. Where the world is made, from 3 to 9 February MAXXI will be hosting Public Drawing. Learning from “Vedute” in Rome”, an international drawing workshop curated by Momoyo Kaijima (Atelier Bow-Wow) and involving 30 students from the ETH in Zurich, Tokyo Tech University, the University of Tsukuba, the University of Camerino and Cornell University.

A collective experience aiming to aid understanding of the contemporary urban space through drawing

Through study of the great masters of Roman vedutismo, the students will be analysing the piazzas and streets of Rome, producing a series of collective drawings featuring the city’s historic spaces and the activities they host in the contemporary era. The works will be presented to the public on Saturday 9 February and will then be exhibited in Gallery 3 within the ambit of the exhibition The Street. Where the world is made
