From MAXXI to CivicoZero, a photographic exhibition facilitating an approach to art and encounters with the other
Over the course of this year MAXXI participated in the Save The Children initiative “Illuminating the future. Together to defeat educational poverty in Italy“, running a workshop of which this exhibition is a fruit: faced with the works of art the young people from the Centro CivicoZero – minori non accompagnati, provenienti da paesi diversi – unaccompanied minors from diverse countries – were involved in narrative experiences in the presence of the museum public, thus giving rise to a space for sharing and reciprocal growth. Previously unpublished photos taken by the young people themselves, who then reconstructed during the successive workshop phase their own museum, revealing a new reality charged with meaning.
