Three seminars with scientists, theorists and designers, followed by screenings in order to explore the implications of the recognition of the Anthropocene
Urbanists and designers tackle the question of the Anthropocene and its controversial implications, analysing the influence of diverse factors on design processes and the way in which architecture, art and design should be reviewing their approach to anthropization.
With respect to the recognition of the Anthropocene – the current era in which man is responsible for the principal territorial, structural and climatic modifications of the earth – there are today two diametrically opposing visions and approaches: the first favours and tackles the problem through new technologies, continuing to make an increasingly significant human and artificial mark on the planet; the second is instead focussed on a process of deceleration and degrowth.
