A documentary by Luca Ferrari,
Italy, 2012, 70’
Massimo is “er pantera”. He has had nothing from life. Like Giuliana, Stefano, Rosi, Bianca and Lillo, lives lived drifting on the margins of everything, in the Laurentino 38 quarter that, as this Festa del Cinema prize-winning and David nominated documentary recounts, resembles a prison with its turrets or a cemetery: every corner has a tragic story to tell.
One of the shining lights of high quality film scheduling in the capital: born as an experiment it soon transformed into a contemporary, innovative and original event. Cinema at MAXXI is back with a range of new features and a programme that is neither a simple film season nor a traditional festival but rather combines diverse traits from both.
