In an Italian preview at MAXXI the programme Living Architectures Marathon presents the complete series of films Living Architectures by Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine. A monumental work expressing with great power and incisiveness the unusual and penetrating point of view which the two artists have reserved for some of the celebrated architecture of our time.
Five evening events discussing and introducing the public to the works of some of the leading figures in contemporary architecture: Rem Koolhaas, Richard Meier, Frank Gehry, Renzo Piano, Herzog & De Meuron.

XMAS MEIER
Screening of the film and conversation by Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine with Emilia Giorgi
Set in the church of Tor Tre Teste, built in 2003 to the designs of Richard Meier, XMAS MEIER describes how the building radically changed life in this outlying quarter of Rome, taking it from anonymity to international attention. The protagonists are the local residents and the parish priest, filmed during the Christmas period.
