Fioravanti, Odoardo

Odoardo Fioravanti graduated in Industrial Design from Milan Polytechnic’s Faculty of Design. Since 1998, he has been working in the field of industrial design and has also experimented with graphic and exhibition design, determined to integrate the various disciplines. His projects have won prestigious international awards. He has lectured at numerous schools and universities including Milan Polytechnic, IUAV in Treviso, the San Marino University, the Istituto Marangoni, the Polytechnic School of Design, Domus Academy and HEAD Genève. His designs have featured in various international exhibitions, culminating in 2010 in a solo show entitled “Industrious Design” at the Triennale Design Museum, Milan. In 2011 he won the ADI Compasso d’Oro prize for the Frida chair in curved wood manufactured by Pedrali. He also works as a freelance journalist for design sector periodicals, attempting to explore the new frontiers of design as a discipline. In 2003 he founded the Odoardo Fioravanti Design Studio, which has developed projects for various companies. The include Abet Laminati, Ballarini, Casamania, COOP, Desalto, Flou, Foscarini, Normann Copenhagen, Olivetti, Palomar, Pedrali, Pircher, Vibram and Victorinox Swiss Army.
