What paths do images embark upon?
How many stories are told by use of a drawing?
A unique opportunity to interact with graphic designer Hatem Imam, an artist included in the Home Beirut. Sounding the Neighbors exhibition, through a writing and illustration workshop.
Participants will have two days to experiment with different art forms, especially with writing and drawing exercises. The final result will be an artists’ book made by each one of them and composed of texts and images.
Visual artist and graphic designer Hatem Imam works with images using different mediums: his works are featured in the most diverse contexts, from independent realities to institutional ones. Hatem is the co-founder of a comics magazine, the artistic director of a record label, and Graphic Design professor at the American University of Beirut.
WHEN
The workshop will take place on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th May from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
WHO IT IS TARGETED TO
People interested in drawing and/or writing.
No particular abilities are required.
The course will be held in English and French for a maximum of 20 participants.
HOW MUCH
The price for each participant is € 150.00 (any travel, subsistence and accommodation expenses are to be borne by participants).
