The diabolical and bizarre spirit with which (female) artists investigates the everyday.
A book that recounts the story of the video festival conceived in 2006 by Stefania Miscetti and involving female Italian and international artists and curators, from the youngest to the most well-established. The name of a Marvel heroine and the title of a film from 1989 by S. Seidelman, SHE DEVIL alludes to the diabolic and bizarre spirit with which artists investigate the everyday.
The videos focus on female research and established direct comparisons with the diverse investigative paths with the aim of stimulating, through irony and realism, collective awareness of issues such as female identity, the body as a place of representation and meaning, personal experience that takes on a universal dimension when it is the intimate sphere of the artists that are placed under the spotlight.
