Lara Anniboletti was born in Perugia. She graduated and has a masters degree in Archaeology and a PhD in Culture and Territory from the “Tor Vergata” University7, Rome. Her research focuses prevalently on Pompeii and she has published several articles regarding aspects of domestic religion, private architecture and the ancient walls of the city, along with a more generalist work that combines educational and popular aims entitled 79 storie su Pompei che non vi hanno ancora raccontato. Her passions include ancient history and archaeology, but also communication and research into new idioms within the museum context. She is currently head of the Communications Department of the Parco Archeologico di Pompei, the new social media channels and the web site.

Born in 1980, after graduating in Literature and Philosophy with a thesis on Aesthetics, Raffaele Bifulbo obtained a Masters degree in Management and Marketing at the LUISS Business School. Since 2008 he has been working at Urban Vision where he leads the Research & Development division, which also comprises the “Addendo” business unit that works on the conception and realisation of cross-media campaigns and special digital out of home projects. A father and husband, when he is not dealing with briefs, cash flow, budget and work flow issues, he allows himself to be enthralled by the contemporary avant-gardes.

Born in Rome 33 years ago, Chiara Laterza specialises in content on the strength of eight years experience at Tafter, the online culture and economic magazine, which led to her becoming firstly Content Marketing Manager for H-ART, now AKQA Italia, an ideas and innovation company for which she is now a Digital Strategist. For AKQA she deals with digital communications and innovation strategies allowing brands to develop a vision for the future. She summarizes her job with the phrase “I sell grapes to short foxes”; that is, she helps brands get to where they want to be, providing them with solutions that had hitherto seemed to be unachievable.

Luca Melchionna (Bressanone, 1971) is a professional journalist. He worked at the MART in Rovereto for 11 years, dealing with the press office and digital communications, planning the first placement for a Wikipedian in an Italian museum and developing an informal web team composed of professionals from all departments. He has worked with Palazzo Grassi – Punta della Dogana, the Museion in Bolzano and with Centrale Fies. He teaches Social Media Marketing at the Fondazione Fitzcarraldo in Turin and the University of Bolzano. He is working on conversational bots and interfaces and is very interested in investigating the impact automation will have on museum professions.

Having gained considerable experience within the digital ambit and that of the sociology of consumption, in 2012 Paolo Pasquali joined forces with Lorenzo Susto to create the web portal efesti.com, commercialising Made in Italy craft products throughout the world. The site has become a place to discover rare and precious creations in which it is possible to render tangible, through a virtual interfaces, the most concrete of artistic practices: craft.
Since March 2017 he has been Vice-president of the CAN Artistico e Tradizionale of Bologna.
For over 20 years Giuseppe Pedicini has worked with various firms on studies, explorations, investigations and strategic marketing projects for advanced projects: fashion, territory, tourism. cultural heritage and the ICT sector. He is currently the Chief Digital Office at @CULT and has focussed attention on innovative semantic web and linked open data technologies, embracing the new information world, the data-driven economy in view of the smart paradigm: data | process | community. His personal mantra is: the worst is over; the best is the future!
Federica Pesce obtained a research degree in Arts, Design and New Technologies from La Sapienza University, Rome. She is a founding partner in Melting Pro. Cultural workshop and Melting Pro Learning, for which she plans and manages national and European cultural projects dealing with informal continuous learning and the valorization of territories through the use of multimedia technologies. Her enjoyable challenge is the transformation of information into knowledge passing from digital narrative practices to those associated with social and participative design. She facilitates digital storytelling workshops thanks to the qualification obtained from the StoryCenter, Berkely.

Consistently among the world’s top 10 gamification designers, Fabio Viola coordinates the Gamification and Engagement Designer higher education course for IED Milano. He is the author of Gamification – I Videogiochi nella Vita Quotidiana and L’arte del Coinvolgimento published by Hoepli. He has worked for multinational videogame companies such as Electronic Arts Mobile and Vivendi Games, contributing the launching of hits such as Tetrs, The Sims and Fifa. He is the CEO of TuoMuseo, a cultural start up winner of Fondazione Cariplo’s I:C call, with which he works on audience engagement projects such as the videogame Father and Son.
Alessandra Barbuto is an art historian and works at MIBACT. She worked in Milan, at the Commission for Architectural, Artistic and Landscape Heritage as well as at the Brera Art Gallery. Since 2006 she has started working with MAXXI Art, inaugurated in 2010, as head of the collection, conservation, and registrar office. She is a member of INCCA Italy and ICOM, and her activity is mostly focused on preserving and doing research on the Museum’s permanent collection. She also carries out in-depth research activities on issues relating to the acquisition, management, set-up and restoration of contemporary works of art. She curated exhibitions, catalogues and publications. She also wrote many essays and carried out studies on museology and conservation, where she deals with the many and complex issues relating to how contemporary culture will be passed down to future generations.

Within its higher education programme MAXXI Know-How, the museum is proposing an intensive 5-day course in which the study sessions, with lecturers, testimonies and focus groups, will be organized in parallel with the hands-on workshops so that what has been learnt can be put into practice immediately through multi-disciplinary works. The workshops for the participants will be based on five briefs prepared in partnership with five leading Italian museums and focusing on real challenges these institutions are facing.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The course is aimed at graduates and young professionals keen to acquire specific skills to apply in the sphere of cultural institutions and organizations.
It is also aimed at those professionals who require vertical analyses in order to improve their working practices.
A course offered with a minimum of 15 participants and a maximum of 30.
WHEN
The study sessions and the workshops will be held at the museum from 5 to 9 June 2017, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
THE ISSUES
Among the issues tackled: New digital professions and skills; Digital Marketing and Communications; Digital Audience Development; Digital conservation and valorization of cultural heritage; Service quality and customer satisfaction measurement; Open data; E-commerce; Trend analyses: chatbots, instant messaging; virtual reality; Legislation: privacy, data processing, copyright. HOW MUCH
The cost for each individual participant is €480,00 (travel and board and lodging costs to be met by the participants).

Head of the Archive Center of MAXXI Architecture, since 2006 she has been in charge of the archiving of architects and engineers’ funds at MAXXI, dealing with their classification, inventorying and publication, while also following all the activities of the Museum of Architecture that are aimed at enhancing the Collections
Graduated from the D.A.M.S in Bologna and specialised at the LUISS Business School in Art and Heritage Management. She began her professional career at Codess Cultura before joining MAXXI in 2007 where she launched, developed and coordinated the Fondazione’s digital presence, activities that have brought the museum recognition, both national (ICOM Italia Prize 2012 for the best use of social media) and international (People’s Lovie Award and Lovie Award Bronze 2015 for the new web site). In 2015 she conceived and curated the first edition of the international convention Digital Think-in. The digital voice of museums. She is the head of the Communications and Digital Office. She periodically teaches at universities and other educational institutions.
A true boot camp: 35 hours full immersion with lectures, workshops and analyses.
An intensive course from 5 to 9 June 2017 open to just 30 participants, focussing on digital skills in the cultural environment with the leading specialists in Italy.
