An event exploring the imagery of the Eternal City and reflecting on its transformations.

An event inspired by the book Mirabilia, the first attempt to provide a concise overview of the Eternal City through cartographic, iconographic and literary representations, spanning from its origins to the present day, as captured by artists, writers and travellers.

The book is a document that brings together a wealth of maps, images and descriptions, which together form a rich tapestry of imagery. It offers a critical perspective that, starting from the past and drawing on references and reflections, interprets Rome and its possible futures through the lens of mindful and sustainable tourism.
