A meeting to recount the evolution of the project and present the pilot site on photovoltaic roofing.
Grande MAXXI is the MAXXI extension project that envisages new spaces and new functions to shape the museum of the future: a 7200 m2 urban park, a green oasis to improve the microclimate, a new building with a spectacular roof garden, a research, meeting and training space that will host new repositories to be explored, a restoration centre for contemporary art and classrooms for teaching.
Launched in 2022 with the international competition won by the interdisciplinary group led by the Italian-French studio LAN, today Grande MAXXI is at a turning point: the final design is ready, detailing what the new building and park (MAXXI Hub + Green) will look like. The pilot site will test cutting-edge photovoltaic technologies on Zaha Hadid’s MAXXI in June, combining protection and sustainability
