Workshops, talks and food to discover the new green face of the museum square and kick off our summer at MAXXI with music.

New trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants of various species, typical of the Mediterranean region, now grow in Piazza Alighiero Boetti, interacting with Zaha Hadid’s building. The creative force behind the green project is Bas Smets, a landscape architect renowned for an approach to landscape design that integrates aesthetics, climate and sustainability.

The project forms part of the Grande MAXXI masterplan, the plan for the museum’s expansion and regeneration.
