Does the ‘Rome case’ really exist? If so, it is because something is moving in a new direction and even the international press has noticed.

The 2025 Jubilee, the major works of the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan), the unexpected test of Pope Francis’ funeral and the election of Leo XIV have shown the world the face of a Rome that is prepared, not chaotic, and logistically equipped. The city attracts investment and plans for the future. However, there are many critical issues, problems to be resolved and risks to its identity in the future. In this book, journalist Paolo Conti gives space and voice to both aspects. The lights and shadows of a possible rebirth, between hopes and risks that concern not only the Romans but also Italy’s image in the world.
