On the occasion of the 2026 National Day of Made in Italy, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana presents a documentary film celebrating the training and transmission of knowledge in Italian fashion, a system of excellence recognised worldwide.

The documentary takes the viewer inside the Academies of some of the leading Maisons in the Italian fashion landscape: Brioni, Brunello Cucinelli, Dolce&Gabbana, Fendi, Gruppo OTB, Kiton, Tod’s and Valentino. The Academies were established to offer highly specialised training programmes for students from outside the companies. Activities take place within the brands’ production facilities and are led directly by company staff, fostering a hands-on and immersive learning experience.

Through the voices of those who create, those who teach, and those who learn, the narrative offers an authentic, tangible and emotional portrait of Made in Italy as an integrated system of creativity, manufacturing, innovation and education, across its diverse regional expressions throughout the Peninsula.

The title draws inspiration from the Grand Tour, the lengthy educational journey undertaken by young Europeans between the 17th and 18th centuries, in which Italy was an unmissable destination — a reference that today takes on a new, more relevant meaning than ever. The documentary film is written and directed by Alessandro Manieri, with executive production entrusted to The Blink Fish.
