In the last event in the ACTING OUT _ Italian artists in action season at MAXXI, Flavio Favelli is presenting his La Vetrina dell’Ostensione V, specifically conceived for the museum.
The performance is part of a series initiated in 2001 in which the artist puts himself in the spotlight: in a vitrine that becomes a form of stage, the artist establishes new relationships with objects, small items of furnishings and people, giving rise to diverse actions.
Flavio Favelli moves through the performative space in the presence of the public as if he were in front of a mirror that requires some one to look at it for it to be activated, arousing ever-different meanings among the spectators.
