In physics and philosophy, the concept of crisis is similar to the artist’s: a tension helpful in exploring themes such as the precariousness of existence, the passage of time, and the relationship between man and natural forces.
Starting with his 1965 experience at the mouth of the volcano Stromboli, Anselmo understands his being an integral part of the energy of the universe, focusing his research on the order and course of natural phenomena such as time, space, orientation, magnetic fields, light and gravitational forces.
