The Museum’s hall becomes the stage for an exclusive set by one of the most innovative and acclaimed duos on the international electronic scene.

Acid Arab, formed in Paris and featured at festivals and clubs worldwide, developed a musical language that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries. Their productions fuse electronic beats and techno atmospheres with melodies, instruments and sounds from the Middle East and North Africa, creating a powerful, inclusive and deeply contemporary sonic experience.

For the occasion, MAXXI’s hall— the beating heart of the building and a meeting place par excellence—transforms into a stage where architecture and music converge in a unique interplay. The energy of Acid Arab’s electronic rhythms encounters the fluid, dynamic forms designed by Zaha Hadid, offering an immersive experience that goes beyond the concert itself.

Kicking things off, Mai Mai Mai’s DJ set, Mediterranean Gothic, combines the artist’s research and sound imagery, moving seamlessly between ambient, field recordings, dub, analogue electronics, and downtempo. A musical journey that starts with meditative listening and gradually builds towards rhythm, enveloping mind and body.

Acid Arab represented by Musicalista Produzioni, produced by Bass Culture. Pre-show in collaboration with Baccano Dischi.
