Published on the occasion of the exhibition at MAXXI, Transformers documents the work of Choi Jeng Hwa, Didier Fiuza Faustino, Martino Gamper and Pedro Cabrita Reyes, four artists from four different and distant countries who work within the contexts of art and design.
Along with comments from the artists, the catalogue features texts by the curators and experts in design such as Deyan Sudjic, Angela Rui, Pelin Tan and Domitilla Dardi and a previously unpublished detective story by Hans Tuzzi. Not just an instrument for study and analysis, the books is also a collector’s item in its own right, celebrating the explosive creativity of the exhibition: the dustcovers transform into four differ posters, with images of the works to detach and keep.
