The inauguration of the exhibition A Tribute to Arte Povera will also see the presentation of the book Gilberto Zorio edited by Gianfranco Maraniello. Along with the author, Gilbeto Zorio and Germano Celant will also be present.
Pubished by MAMbo – the Museum of Modern Art of Bologna – and by CGAC – the Galego Centre for Contemporary Art of Santiago de Compostela – the book documents the solo shows by Gilberto Zorio hosted by the two institutions between the autumn of 2009 and the summer of 2010 and is enriched by a previously unpublished text by the artist that metaphorically links the two exhibition spaces.
The title of the text 2,070 km, derives from the geographical distance instead separating the two institutions.
