The second edition of Contemporamente, MAXXI’s season of events featuring the leading figures of 21st Century arts and culture: from the pianist Michele Campanella to the director Francesca Archibugi, from the writer Niccolò Ammaniti to the jazzman Stefano Bollani and through to the journalist Giovanni Minoli: ten encounters, five before the summer and five in the autumn, exploring the themes of “contemporaneity”.
Thursday 10 May, 20.15
Francesca Archibugi and Laura Delli Colli
MAXXI Auditorium
Admittance €4; free for holders of the my MAXXI membership card
The writer and journalist Laura Delli Colli meets Francesca Archibugi, a director and screenwriter with a penetrating and sensitive eye and a rich filmography: from Mignon è partita (1988) to Il grande cocomero (1993), from L’albero delle pere (1998) to Questione di cuore (2009), Francesca Archibugi tackles the issues of daily life with an uncommonly light touch, establishing a perfect balance between drama and comedy, between poetry and realism.
