Gallery 4 – with a museum entrance ticket
A highly personal point of view of the works in the museum’s permanent collection: this is what a number of people frequenting the Department of Mental Health ASL Roma 1 – 1 Distretto will be sharing with visitors to MAXXI.
For many years we have been using art as experience and an instrument for working with people with serious mental health issues. The artistic process always contains within itself illusion and reason: hence it is a middle ground between normality and insanity and helps us construct/reinforce therapeutic and social relations.
