MAXXI opens its doors to contemporary art to the Affido Culturale families.
Affido Culturaleis a project sustained by the social enterprise Con i Bambini. Winner of the public notice Un passo Avanti, it has been selected by the Fund Against Educational Poverty in Children and Youth. The Fund was born from the Memorandum of Understanding between the Foundations of banking origin represented by ACRI, The National Forum of the Third Sector and the Italian Government.
The project – active in Rome, Naples, Bari and Modena – proposes to act against education poverty. Through the knowledge of family foster care, the project chooses a more cultural focus. The principle is very simple; a parent who usually brings their own children to the cinema, theatre, museums or in libraries, brings along with them another child and his or her own parents or guardians to places that they maybe would have not gone in before for different reasons.
A big game in the city: adults and children together to educate themselves through art, culture and nature.
It is through this junction that there is a blossoming of shared creativity, with which both the ‘recipient families’ and the ‘giving families’ sign an Education Pact: a complete, multidimensional support, guaranteed and monitored by the school. The project Affido Culturale feeds in to these Education Pacts giving the ‘giving family’ as educators a form of e-commerce, a virtual solidarity currency, through which to pay for tickets for cultural events such as cinemas, theatres, museums etc. These transactions are all carried out through a specific mobile app which facilitates the financial monitoring and activities, as well as fundraising for the project.
An adventure to overcome differences and obstacles together and build a community by sharing beauty.
