An opportunity to present to the public and citizens the start of work on the museum square: more green, more lively, more welcoming.

Piazza Alighiero Boetti, the beating heart of the Museum and Rome’s Flaminio district, is at the centre of MAXXI’s green regeneration. Here, in fact, work will begin on bringing nature into the museum: instead of concrete, trees and hundreds of plants will be planted to create a greener environment.

This intervention, together with the new park that will be created on the Via Masaccio side, is part of the Grande MAXXI masterplan, the museum’s expansion and regeneration project designed by Bas Smets, one of the most important landscape architects on the contemporary scene, famous for his conception of greenery that is not only aesthetic but above all environmental.

In collaboration with the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators of Rome and Province; participation in the event entitles architects registered with an Italian Order to 2 professional training credits. Registration is mandatory via formazione.architettiroma.it
