An essay devoted to the discontinuity of the last two decades, when performative attitude regenerated thanks to the arrival of delegated performance and the appropriation of public space.
The second volume of Slittamenti della performance concludes the analysis of the histories of performance art begun by Teresa Macrì with the first book, analysing what has happened from 2000 to the present day. Revitalised by new behaviours and different methodologies, contemporary performance art offers visions of the world expressed through institutional mega-productions and independent and unbound forms, questioning the complexity of existence.
